The Cottage
I thought I would participate in Mosaic Monday AND show you the quaint little cottage we were able to stay in while vacationing on Tybee Island. Everything about our temporary residence was absolutely adorable; from its beachy touches, to the outdoor shower, and separate little cottage for the parents... We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and loved coming "home" to this fresh, white, beachy cottage called: Hemmingway House!

Keep off the sidewalks!!
After taking a two week "sabbatical" from blogging, it is so very good to be back home. We had a wonderful time vacationing on Tybee Island; to describe the place in one word would be...BLISS.
I took 500 pictures, and it will be hard to choose which ones to post on here. Even the pictures, could not even come close to giving full justice to the beauty of the island...
But, before I get into our vacation, I have an announcement...
See this beautiful young lady?
...my littlest sister...
the baby of the family...
She is a senior in high school this year!!!
I can't believe how old she is getting...
I was able to take a portion of Lauren's
senior portraits while on Tybee...
But... this post is not entirely about her pictures...
My sister is officially....
a LICENSED DRIVER!!!

Ecclesiastes
{Some of my favorite verses from my favorite book,
compiled with some random pics
that I took on my lunch break...}
What profit hath a man of all his labor which he taketh under the sun?
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;...
3:1-
He hath made everything beautiful in his time:
3:11
I know that whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it that men should fear before him.
3:14
All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
3:20
Two men are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
4:9-10
Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God;...let thy words be few...and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words.
5:2-3
For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?
6:12
A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth.
Sorrow is better than laughter: for by sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.
7: 1&3
Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?
7:13
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might:
9: 10
the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong,
9:11b
Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.
9: 18
Cast thy bread upon the waters; for thou shalt find it after many days.
11:1
As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child; even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
11:5
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth,
12:1a
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.
12:13

DIY-Camera Strap
Have you seen these camera straps?
Pretty adorable, huh?
NOT so adorable when you see the price tag which runs from $35 on up...
Well, one of my favorite photography websites, I heart faces, recently
did a tutorial on how to make these.
So...I chose my material (1/8 yd.) and bought some fleece interfacing and
(with the help of my mother) made this in less than 15 minutes!!
(+for about $4)
You can find the diy tutorial here.
She recommends making different straps to match your outfits.
I am not THAT much of a fashionista...
however, I will be making one for each of the seasons! ;)
